Boilers, Radiant Heating, Hot Water Tanks & Tankless Water Heaters

A boiler is a hydronic system that uses water to heat your home. There are 2 types of boilers – High Efficiency Condensing boilers and Conventional Mid Efficiency Boilers. The boiler heats up the water which moves through pipes by a circulator leading to radiators, radiant tubing or baseboard heaters where it gives off its heat. It then returns to the boiler for reheating.

The use of a boiler system allows your home to be “zoned”, each with its own thermostat. This means that every room can be individually configured to your desired temperature. In this way it is a very efficient system allowing you to control which room(s) get heated saving you money. Another advantage lies in the fact that boilers are water based closed loop systems and do not involve the movement of air thereby eliminating dust and its associated allergies. They are quiet systems and take up less room.

At Boilers & Beyond Heating and Cooling, we have a wealth of experience in the design and installation of boilers to suit your individual needs.

Our recommended brands are as follows and we service/repair all makes and models.

Radiant In-Floor Heating

Radiant heating systems supply heat directly to the floor. Radiant in-floor heating systems are extremely comfortable providing an even, comfortable distribution of heat.  It is a quiet system and cost effective because there are no duct losses, saving you money. It also does not precipitate allergens like forced air systems. When installing radiant in-floor heating, it is recommended to pair up with a condensing boiler thereby providing a very efficient heating system.

Hot Water Tanks

Hot Water Tanks store hot water for domestic use. At Boilers & Beyond Heating and Cooling Ltd, we install Electric or Gas Hot Water Tanks.

Some advantages of Electric Hot Water Tanks are they are cheaper and do not require venting.

Gas Hot Water Tanks are slightly more costly to purchase but cheaper to operate day-day. They do require venting.

Below are the brands we install. Call us to discuss your options at 604-376-0919.

Tankless or On-Demand Hot Water Tanks

Gas powered Tankless water heaters provide hot water on demand by heating the water required with a burner. As a result of water being provided on demand, the need for a storage tank is removed. This means you do not waste money reheating the water in a tank over and over, rather you pay only for the water you heat and use. It also increases the lifespan of the water heater because of the reduction of corrosion that is normally seen in the storage tank.

We service and repair all makes and models of hot water tanks. Listed below are our recommended brands of on-demand water tanks.
